Dear Fort Bend County Residents: Welcome to my campaign Web site. I am KP George, an immigrant to United States, originally from India. Living in this Great Nation is a dream comes true for me and my family. After many years of hard work, I have a comfortable life here in the US. But I believe it is time for immigrants such as myself to take an active part in the political process of this wonderful country. I am doing this by seeking election to the position of Fort Bend County Treasurer on the Democrat Party ticket. As I see it, the Democratic Party values the immigrant population as an integral part of the community and continues to stand by this growing population.As you read my biography, I am sure you will agree that my experience as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) and a Money Manager will be an added value to the Fort Bend County Treasurer’s office.
I am asking for

am running for the position of County Treasurer because of my passion for
people
for bringing out the best in people,
all people and my commitment to helping people find their voice. It is that same passion and commitment that led me to serve
numerous community organizations and some charitable organizations.
In general, my goal is to represent the average people of Fort Bend County, because I am an average person and I understand their pulse.
The Treasurer is a Constitutional
officer because the office is expressly established by the Constitution of
TEXAS. The Treasurer ensures that local funds will be collected, invested and
spent by an officer who reports directly to YOU, THE PEOPLE. Given my
passion for people, I have a vision for
the office which
brings the office closer to the people of Fort Bend County as Thomas
Jefferson envisioned.
As your candidate for Treasurer my goals
are:
- To bring complete transparency to the Fort Bend
County Treasurer’s Office.
- To ensure responsible spending of your tax dollars.
- To maximize your
tax dollars with better coordination between various county departments.
- To publish audit reports frequently on the County
Treasurer’s Website.
